Fast food restaurants that previously operated under the McDonald’s brand in Kazakhstan will start operating without the brand on Monday, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.

The press service of McDonald’s in Kazakhstan informed on January 5 that fast food restaurants operated by the Kazakh LLP Food Solutions KZ will no longer operate under the McDonald’s brand. The head of Food Solutions KZ LLP, Asset Mashanov, told reporters on January 10 that the main task of the company is to resume work, possibly without a brand, and then under a new local brand.

According to a RIA Novosti correspondent from Alma-Ata, on the roof of one of the restaurants, where the McDonald’s logo was previously located, signs “We are open” are now installed in Kazakh and Russian. On the door of the restaurant there is an announcement that the institution will be open at 10:00 (7:00 Moscow time).
