Former technical director of Meduza Goryachev accused of discrediting the Russian army

Former technical director of Meduza (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) Boris Goryachev said that an administrative protocol had been drawn up against him on discrediting the Russian army. He wrote about this on his Facebook page (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and banned).

He clarified that he had received a notification about the initiated case at Gosuslugakh, but he did not provide details of the case. According to data from file cabinets Moscow City Court, the case was registered on November 17, but so far it has not been considered.

There are two articles for discrediting the Russian army – administrative (Art. 20.3.3) and criminal (Part 1, Art. 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The maximum punishment for the first one involves a fine of up to 100 thousand rubles, for the second – imprisonment for up to three years.
