Former Russian gymnast brings Germany four World Cup golds

The German publication DTB reports that Daria Varfolomeev, a native of Barnaul representing Germany, has won four gold medals at the 2023 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships.
It is noted that the athlete became a leader in all separate types of competitions, namely in exercises with a hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon. Next, Varfolomeev will take part in the team all-around and absolute championship.
The gymnast noted that she considers her result incredible and cannot believe in it. She also added that she was incredibly proud of the audience, which was louder than before. Varfolomeev admitted that she was pleased to see many German flags in the stands.
The athlete was born in Barnaul and played for Russia until the age of 13, but in 2019 she moved to Germany and changed her sports citizenship.
