Former Protodeacon Kuraev and author of “Masyanya” Kuvaev are recognized as foreign agents

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on Friday, December 22, updated the register of persons and organizations recognized as foreign agents. The list includes six more people, one online publication and a project.
The religious figure Andrei Kuraev, who disseminated false information about the decisions taken by the Russian authorities and their policies, was recognized as a foreign agent. The ex-protodeacon opposed the special military operation in Ukraine.
Also included in the register of foreign agents is the animator Oleg Kuvaev, known from the animated series “Masyanya”. He also spoke out against the SVO, participated in fundraising for the Ukrainian army and disseminated false information aimed at creating a negative image of the Russian Federation, as well as the Russian Armed Forces.
In November, Andrei Kuraev published a photo of his nine suitcases, presumably taken in the hotel lobby, accompanying the post with a caption stating that he “broke away on National Unity Day”.
Kuraev decided to move to the Czech Republic, saying that although he would like to live in Prague – he spent his childhood there – he would still move is involuntary for himsince in Russia, according to the religious figure, it is unsafe for him.
