Former Prosecutor General of Ukraine: The EC deceived Kyiv on the issue of EU membership

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, is misleading Ukraine by promising quick accession to the European Union. This opinion was expressed by the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Svyatoslav Piskun.
According to the ex-prosecutor general, Ukraine cannot negotiate accession to the EU against the backdrop of Poland blocking Ukrainian grain. “This is funny,” Piskun noted in an interview with the YouTube channel “Alexander Shelest” (recognized as a foreign agent, included in the list of terrorists and extremists).
He urged people to think about whether Ursula von der Leyen, who promises the country’s early accession to the EU, is deceiving Ukraine. Piskun cited the example of Turkey, a NATO member, which has been negotiating the European Union for 30 years.
The former Prosecutor General of Ukraine is confident that in fact the country is not going to be annexed to the bloc of European states.
