Former prime minister and opposition leader of Greece criticized the supply of weapons to Ukraine

Alexis Tsipras, who is the chairman of the Greek party SYRIZA and the leader of the opposition, criticized the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
Tsipras also served as Prime Minister of Greece from 2015 to 2019. Earlier, the Greek authorities announced plans to transfer 40 BMP-1 units to Kyiv, with the prospect of replacing them with equipment from Germany.
Tsipras performed at the 86th International Exhibition in Thessaloniki Tsipras, his speech was broadcast by the state TV channel ΕΡΤ.
The former prime minister said that in his vision, Greece should not be “an advanced and insecure outpost of the West”, as well as “a country that sends weapons to Ukraine and becomes a party to the crisis.” According to him, Greece should become a driving force for peace and stability.
Earlier, the Russian Federation sent a note due to the supply of weapons to Ukraine to countries that are members of the NATO bloc. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that weapons supplied to Kyiv automatically become a legitimate target for Russian troops.
