The leading world powers have no options for resolving the Ukrainian crisis, Turkish President Tayyip Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters after returning from Samarkand from the SCO summit.
He stated that the leading powers of the world do not even ask themselves what can be done to end the conflict.
“We have given the necessary response to the West, and to all of them, especially the United States, with the initiatives that we have taken, with the policy of balance that we have adhered to from the very beginning,” Erdogan said.
The Turkish President also said that his country is seeking membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. In addition, Erdogan, in his words, agreed with Russian President Vladimir Putin “with caution” to continue negotiations on the supply of grain and fertilizers from Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
The SCO summit was held on September 15-16. At the summit, Erdogan met with Putin and called the meeting fruitful.
