Ex-Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR Nikolai Ryzhkov said that the USSR could be recreated on new principles that would be similar to those on which the European Union operates.
According to him, at the moment it is impossible to recreate the USSR in the form in which it existed before.
“We must try to be close to the European union, where there is a basis – the European Union and its various bodies. I believe that according to the principle of the EU, it was possible to create an association of states in the post-Soviet space. At the same time, this union would be based on new conditions,” Ryzhkov noted.
He clarified that it is not necessary to completely copy the former format of the existence of the USSR.
Recall that December 30 marks the 100th anniversary of the signing of the declaration on the formation of the USSR.
