The ex-head of Rostourism, Zarina Doguzova, was invited to join the expert council under the government of the Russian Federation. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers informed about the new work.
Earlier it was reported that Doguzova refused the post of Deputy Minister of Economic Development, responsible for the development of the tourism industry.
In October, the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism) was abolished by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, and its functions were transferred to the Ministry of Economic Development. This was done, as noted, “to optimize and improve public administration.” It was reported that the decision of the head of state was preceded by the State Council, at which the heads of regions asked the president to create a “single window” for the tourism industry.
