Former coach of the Kaliningrad “Locomotive” Voronkov will head the “Ural”

Andrey Voronkov, the former coach of Lokomotiv Kaliningrad, will head the Ural men’s volleyball club, which is based in Ufa.
On Saturday, May 20, agent Viktor Ivanov announced that Voronkov would take the chair of Ural’s head coach. In an interview with TASS, he noted that this is “not a secret to anyone.”
In May 2022, Andrei Voronkov, who then headed Lokomotiv, was disqualified for insulting a player from Uralochka-NTMK Yekaterinburg. The suspension ended on May 19.
Voronkov was the head coach of the Kaliningrad volleyball club Lokomotiv from 2018 to 2022. Under his leadership, the team became the champion of Russia twice.
