Former CIA analyst Johnson was outraged by the Pentagon chief’s statement on Ukraine

Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson, on his website A son of the new American revolution, commented on the statement of US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin at a press conference in Kiev that the United States does not have a “magic wand” for Ukraine in the conflict with Russia.
As Johnson explained, this is not about the US going to stop supplying arms to Kyiv. However, the expert noted, from this statement one can conclude that the Pentagon chief “has no idea how Russia conducts military operations.”
Johnson also noted that Austin apparently does not understand the extent to which Ukraine has weakened.
He added that Ukrainian soldiers lack the skills to effectively use NATO weapons. Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not have enough trained soldiers who could effectively operate under the command of experienced leaders.
At the same time, Johnson noted that even if Ukraine had such combat-ready troops, it would not have enough military power to defeat Russia.
