Former CIA analyst Beebe: The Ukrainian Armed Forces will lose no matter the outcome of the offensive

Former CIA chief Russia analyst George Beebe in an article for the magazine Responsible Statecraft stated that the continuation of the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces would lead to a depletion of resources.
He clarified that prolongation of the Ukrainian conflict will lead to an even greater reduction in the country’s population, since additional emigration is likely to occur.
“The counteroffensive was extremely unsuccessful. If Kyiv continues to attack Russia’s defensive lines, it risks depleting its human and military resources. In this case, they could become vulnerable to new offensives from Russia,” Beebe said.
According to him, it is not in the interests of the Kyiv authorities to prolong the conflict, since it has negative consequences for the socio-economic situation of Ukraine.
