Foreign Ministry: deliveries of MANPADS to Ukraine threaten the safety of passenger air traffic in the world

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that against the backdrop of Western ATGMs and MANPADS falling into the territory of Ukraine, it is time to raise the issue of the safety of civil aviation in Europe and the world.
The department clarified that Western weapons that end up in Ukraine, due to strong corruption in the country, are spreading all over the world.
“Weapons go to the zones of other regional conflicts and fall into the hands of organized crime, terrorists and extremists of various stripes. We believe that it will soon be necessary to raise the issue of the safety of civil aviation,” the Foreign Ministry noted.
The ministry added that the EU member states collectively transferred military equipment and various weapons to the Kyiv regime for more than 12 billion euros. According to diplomats, “it is from the weapons that are produced in Western countries that the destruction of the civilian population of the LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions takes place.”
