Foreign Minister Lavrov arrived in Minsk on a working visit

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Minsk on Wednesday evening for a three-day working visit, TASS reports.
The visit is timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Belarus.
Lavrov will be received by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, and the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry will hold talks with his Belarusian counterpart Vladimir Makei. In addition, Lavrov intends to take part in events to celebrate the anniversary.
Another purpose of the trip is to hold, under the chairmanship of Lavrov, an off-site meeting of the commission of the United Russia General Council on international cooperation and support for compatriots abroad.
On Wednesday afternoon, Sergei Lavrov gave a big press conference in Moscow on the results of the work of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
