Civilians in the city of Artemovsk (Donetsk People’s Republic) have become more wary of foreign fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is written by the American newspaper New York Times, referring to the stories of mercenaries.
Trying to avoid negative attitudes, the mercenaries try not to communicate with each other in English. But it is difficult for them. For example, the group whose members were interviewed by the publication consists of an American with the call sign “Wolf”, a Canadian, a British and an Australian. English is the native language for all of them.
In addition, mercenaries complain about the frequent lack of mobile communications. Even Starlink is intermittent. Recall that Artemovsk is currently being actively stormed by Russian troops, fighting is already taking place on the outskirts of the city.
