The main program of the economic forum has started in Vladivostok. President Vladimir Putin is expected to visit the site on September 11, but his speech is scheduled for September 12. Among the topics that experts have already discussed are climate protection, energy, the development of the Far Eastern islands and the Arctic, as well as the production of drones in Russia. The largest delegation of guests this year is from China, said Kommersant FM correspondent Vladimir Rasulov, who is located on Russky Island.

— The first and main day of the forum is the busiest. Business sessions begin at 9 a.m. local time and last until 6:30 p.m. They take place at intervals of 10 minutes. The main topics – the prospects for the oil and gas market, the domestic automobile industry, the safety of capital flows, the impact of sanctions on the Russian economy – will be discussed in the evening. If we talk about the number of people and participants who arrived at the forum this year, then, according to official data, there are at least 7 thousand of them, however, taking into account media representatives from more than 50 countries.

Foreign delegations here mainly represent the Asian part of the world – Myanmar, India, Laos and Mongolia. At the same time, Chinese guests at the EEF, according to official data, are in the majority. Representatives of at least 300 companies came to the forum in Vladivostok. And, in general, they can be found on almost every floor. They go from one session to another and move around the site quite actively.

The speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled for September 12, that is, on Tuesday, but the work of the head of state, as previously reported in his press service, will begin in Vladivostok on September 11. On Monday, he will get acquainted with an interactive presentation of the results of the development of the Far East and will discuss this topic with specialized speakers. In addition, Vladimir Putin will have a meeting on the development of some Far Eastern cities. The president’s speech at the plenary session will take place on Tuesday, September 12. He will be accompanied here by the Deputy Prime Minister of Laos Pani Yathotu.

Forums in Vladivostok are always famous for additional interesting formats, and in 2023 the informal entertainment program is quite interesting. WEF started at 6:30 am with a morning run around Russky Island. About 700 people took to the start line and covered a 5-kilometer distance across the territory of the Primorsky Aquarium. And if in 2022 this race was dedicated to the tiger, then in 2023 the Kamchatka gyrfalcon became the symbol – this is such a bird of prey.

And on September 10, Sunday, a concert with the participation of artificial intelligence was held on the Primorsky stage of the Mariinsky Theater. There, the neural network, together with a large symphony orchestra, performed symphony No. 1 called “Cosmos”. It was written by musician and composer Peter Dranga. This piece featured parts where a neural network model controlled the expressiveness of the performance using a virtual synthesizer.

The cultural program will continue at several points at once. There will be concerts and classical music, and not only. And separately, right next to the forum site, on the embankment of Ajax Bay there is an exhibition “Far East Street”, where 11 pavilions are located, representing the regions of the Far East, representing these regions themselves.
