State Duma deputies believe that it is necessary to deprive foreign agents of the opportunity to earn income in the Russian Federation, said the chairman of the chamber, Vyacheslav Volodin. He announced the development of a bill that would prohibit citizens and companies from advertising with foreign agents.

According to the speaker of the State Duma, the presence of opportunities for foreign agents to earn money in the Russian Federation causes indignation among Russians. According to him, “numerous requests” are being received asking why foreign agents continue to place advertisements for Russian companies.

“Deputies consider it necessary to deprive foreign agents of all sources of income in our country. And for those who violate the ban, provide strict penalties,” Mr. Volodin wrote in Telegram.
