Forecast for the winter of weather forecasters surprisingly coincided with folk signs

Leaves, mushrooms and mountain ash hinted at severe frosts
Long-term forecasts of weather forecasters in the 21st century, as in the 20th century, are not accurate. But the desire to know what the next season will be like is always very acute among the people. And in order to find out what the upcoming winter will be like, “MK” decided to turn to signs. But what if at least one of them works.
Our ancestors noticed that a plentiful harvest of mushrooms in early autumn promises a warm and little snowy winter. Sounds interesting. It turns out that the opposite should happen this year. Since there were practically no mushrooms, high snowdrifts and frost await us.
– According to the folk calendar, if the mountain ash gave a plentiful harvest of berries, then the winter will be cold. And if in November a sleeping fly woke up in the house, then it’s warm, ”says Alla Sorokina, an employee of one of the weather stations near Moscow. – I really observed fires of mountain ash this autumn, but there are no flies in the room. In October, except that a butterfly woke up on our windowsill at home. But then we woke her up ourselves.
Here is another sign: a large number of leaves on the trees in October speaks of a harsh winter. I must say that even now not all trees have shed their foliage.
It seems that this time there is a coincidence between the scientific forecast and the popular one. According to the Hydrometeorological Center, in the central part of Russia, January will begin with severe frosts. Moreover, daily temperatures will be extremely unstable. For example, in the first half of the day the temperature can be -10 ° C, and in the second half it begins to fall sharply, and by night it can reach 20. Well, in the folk calendar, frosts are confirmed by the presence of rowan clusters and the absence of mushrooms. Well, let’s wait and see.
