The supply of 61 fourth-generation F-16 fighters to Ukraine will allow Ukraine to replace almost 50% of its fleet of Soviet aircraft. It is reported by Forbes magazine.
“Sixty-one F-16s are enough to replace about half of the front-line fleet of the Ukrainian Air Force,” the publication says.
The article notes that the Ukrainian fleet of Soviet aircraft includes 125 units of MiG-29, Su-24, Su-25 and Su-27 dating back to the Cold War.
According to the publication, since the beginning of the Russian special operation, Ukrainian troops have managed to make up for their losses, including thanks to donations from Western countries.
