On February 10-11, the international motorsport competition “Commonwealth Cup” was held at the Kemerovo motorcycle track “Luscus”. 150 motorcyclists from 11 regions of our country and 11 friendly countries took part in them. For the first time, freestyle motocrossers performed in Kemerovo.
As part of the Cup, the Russian Motorsports Championship and Championship took place in the snowmobile cross discipline, as well as the Russian Motorsports Championship in the cross-snowbike discipline and the Kuzbass Motocross Cup.
“Our motorcycle track meets the highest standards, which is why the strongest riders from many countries come to us every year. This, in turn, gives an incentive to the development and popularization of motorsports in our region,” said Kuzbass Governor Sergei Tsivilev.
Fans were treated to an extreme show program of flying motorcyclists. Athletes soared high from special springboards to the applause of spectators, performing the most difficult stunts in the air. Among the participants in the demonstration performances were eminent athletes from Yekaterinburg, Izhevsk and Moscow.
The athletes performed in difficult weather conditions.
