On March 30, Aksarka will celebrate Reindeer Herder Day. Spectators are expected to compete in new sports, said the head of the Priuralsky district, Ivan Sakal.
“Traditional competitions and competitions await you at Reindeer Herder Day. One of the key events will be the establishment of a Russian record for planing, “The largest weight of venison planed in Russia.” For the first time, we will hold family ethnobiathlon and hockey in felt boots in national clothes,” Sakal announced.
As the administration of the Priuralsky District clarified, spectacular events on Reindeer Herder Day will include sports competitions in national sports: jumping over sledges, triple national jump, tug-of-war with a stick from a sitting position, running on lamps (skis) with a stick, national wrestling, throwing a tynzian on a trochee. Reindeer sled races are also planned.
The Polar Bear sports school organizes northern all-around competitions for schoolchildren.
