Italian Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi told the publication that as part of the campaign, football players would be banned from displaying any symbols resembling Nazi ones. In addition, athletes will be required to use “non-discriminatory language” during public performances. As part of the measures, the procedure for interrupting the match due to manifestations of anti-Semitism will also be determined.
It is noted that last season in Italy’s top football league, Serie A, four players played at number 88: Mateusz Prashelik (Ellas Verona), Toma Rincon (Sampdoria), Toma Bašić (Lazio) and Mario Pasalic (” Atalanta).
