Football teams from 16 orphanages and boarding schools in Russia will compete for a trip to Barcelona’s summer camp in Sochi

The final stage of the All-Russian football competition among teams of orphanages and boarding schools “The Future Depends on You” will be held in Sochi from May 15 to 20.

16 teams will take part in the final stage – the winners of the qualifying stages from Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, the Leningrad region, the Republic of Mari El, the Tver, Kirov and Omsk regions, as well as Orenburg, Maykop, Magadan, Krasnoyarsk and Artyom.

Within five days, the teams, divided into age categories, will compete for the main prize – a trip to the football summer camp of the FC Barcelona Academy in Sochi and the opportunity to be trained according to the methodology of this club.

And for all the participants of the final games, they will organize an excursion to the Fisht stadium, where the Sochi football team plays home matches, and a trip to the Sochi Park amusement park. The children will also be able to take part in the SkillCity City of Skills career guidance program: they will learn about how modern technologies are used in the sports field and what IT professions are associated with it today. An additional training program is devoted to acquaintance with the professions of a sports commentator and sports journalist. So there will be no losers in these games anyway.

Football competitions among the teams of orphanages and boarding schools “The Future Depends on You” have been held since 2005. This is the only federal-scale project for children in state care, aimed not only at their physical development, but also at socialization and the promotion of family structure.

Over 18 years, more than 41,000 children from orphanages and boarding schools from 140 Russian cities have taken part in the project.
