The general director of the Yaroslavl football club (FC) “Shinnik” Sergey Kulakov said that the team will change the hotel in Turkey after a fight with the players of the Ukrainian “Minaj”. The incident occurred yesterday, February 13, in a Turkish hotel near Antalya Royal Seginus.
Mr. Kulakov specified that the Russian team is moving on their own initiative. “They write that we are being evicted, but this is not so. The initiator was the leadership of our club. The RFU is aware of this issue, and the FNL, the consulate in Turkey, the government of the Yaroslavl region are also aware of the situation, ”he told RIA Novosti.
Shinnik is in Turkey for a training camp. According to sources “Kommersant”, between the players of the two teams there were verbal skirmishes that escalated into a fight. The Russian team insists that the incident was provoked by the Ukrainians, who “attacked” one of the Shinnik players. As a result, the athletes of the FC recorded a dissection of the lip, a fracture of the toe and a suspected bruise of the ribs.
The Ukrainian side does not confirm this version: sports journalist Roman Bebekh wrote on Twitter that Minai player Daniil Kolesnik made a remark to one of the Russian players who “behaved incorrectly towards the hotel staff,” but he refused to apologize. “Shinnik” insists that the absence of Ukrainian teams was the condition for his check-in at this hotel.
