Football players of KubSU returned to first place in the NSFL

The KubSU team topped the standings of the National Student Football League following the results of the mini-tournament in Essentuki.
In the final match, the team of the Kuban State University won the 12th consecutive victory in the tournament. Wards of Alexei Gerasimenko defeated the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design with a score of 6:0. The goals were scored by Malik Odeyinka, Ilya Oleinik, Nikita Skuridin (from the penalty spot), Christian Nvachukvu, Usman Azhibona and Daniil Kostyrin. In the second half, the team from St. Petersburg remained in the minority.
In Essentuki, it was the strongest rival for KubSU. SPbGUPTD won 2 wins before this game and takes the 6th place in the tournament among 16 participants. Krasnodar previously defeated opponents from Sevastopol and Saratov. KubSU scored 36 points in 12 matches and returned to first place in the standings. The Crimean Federal University has the same number of points, but Krasnodar has a better difference between goals scored and conceded – 56:9 against 47:7.
The teams will face each other in the final NSFL tournament, which will be held in Krasnodar. The most important game, which will largely decide the fate of gold medals, will take place on December 6th. Also in this tournament, KubSU will play on December 7 against SFU from Rostov-on-Don and on December 8 with Moscow RUS “GTSOLIFK”. KFU will also face these opponents.
