Football players of KubSU are silver medalists of the NSFL-2022

The Kuban State University team won silver medals in the National Student Football League for the 2022 season.
In the final game of the tournament against the Crimean Federal University named after Vernadsky, the Krasnodar university needed only a victory to win gold medals. Like the entire home tournament at their stadium, the match for the team of Alexei Gerasimenko was not the best. In the two previous games, the Krasnodar university twice insulted tiedlosing 4 points. Otherwise, KubSU could have become a champion ahead of schedule.
In the match against KFU, the guests were the first to score – Anton Penchelyuzov scored in the 21st minute. After only 2 minutes, Vladislav Tyufyakov restored equality. But in the last minute of the first half (halves in the National Football League play for 40 minutes) Roman Khadzhiev again brought the Crimean team ahead – 2:1. In the second half, the score did not change.
KFU, having scored 42 points in 15 games, won the NSFL for the third time in a row and equaled the titles with KubSU. The Krasnodar university has silver medals – 38 points. The third place was taken by the Chechen State University from Grozny (31).
Immediately 5 representatives of KubSU received individual nominations at the end of the season. Vadim Lukyanov became the best goalkeeper Nikita Skuridin – top scorer, scoring 11 goals, Khoren Aghajanyan was recognized as the best press attache, Alexey Gerasimenko – best coach Mikhail Astapov – the best rector.
