Football players of “Kuban” solved the problem for the season

An important event of the past sports week was the rescue of the Krasnodar “Kuban” from relegation from the First Football League. The beach players of Krasnodar-UMR also continue the season, handball players begin to go out on the sand.

Not all survived

The denouement has come in the First Football League. Two Krasnodar clubs performed there at once. Both, alas, fought only for survival. “Kuban” and “Krasnodar-2” found themselves in an unenviable situation, but one of the teams managed to escape with a guarantee.

“Kuban” retained a residence permit in the second division of Russian football by strength only in the final, 34th round on June 3rd. The “Yellow-Greens” met with “Ufa” on the road, which also found itself in this delicate position. Moreover, the team from Bashkortostan had just dropped out of the Russian Premier League, and now they risked dropping down another division.

At the time of the match with Kuban, the Ufa team, as well as the players from the capital’s Veles, had a chance to escape. The Yellow-Greens broke away from the relegation zone at one moment during the season. The defeat of the Moscow “Veles” from “Krasnodar-2” also helped. But “Kuban” stalled. Alexander Grigoryan was urgently invited to the post of head coach at the end of the championship. Nevertheless, in the penultimate round, Kuban lost at home to Krasnoyarsk Yenisei, who were rushing into the play-offs.

In Ufa, the most important goal was scored by the best player of Kuban this season, Nuri Abdokov. He was entrusted with taking the penalty. The young football player did not flinch and outplayed the goalkeeper. It happened in the fourth minute added to the first half. Abdokov was among the top scorers of the tournament: eleven goals and fifth place.

At the beginning of the second half, Oleksandr Sandrachuk from Ufa equalized the score and aggravated the situation. After an hour of playing time, Kuban got a bit lucky. The goal of Ilya Moseychuk turned out to be amazingly beautiful. Long shot – and the ball flew under the crossbar.

There was still a lot to play. In addition, the referee added eight minutes. But the Ufa team needed to score twice. They succeeded in the number of strokes: fourteen. But they hit the target infrequently – only four times. “Kuban” beat only six times, but much better. There was a lot of hard fighting on the field, which was evidenced by nine yellow cards. Seven of them are on account of the Kuban players.

Krasnodar scored 37 points in 34 games, which allowed them to take the final fourteenth place – one line higher than the relegation zone.

“Of course, we are happy that we remained in the first division,” said Krasnodar head coach Alexander Grigoryan at a press conference. – A club like Kuban, which has great traditions, was hanging by a thread. As, however, and “Ufa”. These are clubs behind which entire regions. This is the fifth time I have received commands at this moment. Despite the fact that I was lucky for the fifth time in a row, it is still unpleasant when the question is decided: “To be or not to be?”. And I do not want to comment on the past game. Yes, this is not necessary.

Krasnodar-2 finished in the penultimate, seventeenth place. The Bulls had a good run in the spring part of the championship, but too much was lost in the autumn. In the final three rounds, the Krasnodar team invariably achieved devastating victories, in the last one they beat the Yaroslavl “Shinnik” – 4: 0. At least, the “bulls” left the last position.

In addition to Krasnodar-2 and Ufa, Moscow Veles and Ulyanovsk Volga should be eliminated. There are nuances that some of them may stay, as some reorganization of the tournament is likely. “Kuban” is guaranteed to get a place in the new season. And the Novorossiysk “Chernomorets”, who won the tournament in the Second League, should replenish the composition of the First League.

Beachgoers stalled

FC Krasnodar-YUMR played three more matches in the beach soccer super league. All of them were also held in Saratov, where all the participants of the tournament gathered. Unfortunately, the course of the Kuban team stalled. Earlier, in the first round, the team of Yevgeny Skibar beat Strogino Moscow with a score of 5: 1, and in its second match they lost to the champions of Russia of the last two years – the players of Kristall from St. Petersburg – 1: 4.

Southerners in the third match met with the Moscow Lokomotiv, the silver medalist of the last championship. The favorite convincingly won with a score of 8 : 2 (1 : 0, 2 : 1, 5 : 1). Daniil Sidelnik made a double in Krasnodar. He managed to distinguish himself from the penalty spot and from the free kick. Among the Muscovites, Amadius Vinogradov became the most productive, scoring four goals.

Then “Krasnodar-YUMR” lost on penalties to the Samara “Wings of the Soviets”. This is the most annoying loss. After two halves Krasnodar was in the lead – 3 : 1. Aleksey Lapin made a double, Mikhail Samusevich scored one more goal. At the final segment Krasnodar ran out of steam. For a long time they held on thanks to their goalkeeper Alexei Yasnov, who was recognized as the best player of the match. Nevertheless, Samarans were able to recoup, turning the game into a penalty shoot-out three minutes before the end of regular time – 3: 3. Volga players scored their four free kicks, Krasnodar missed twice in four attempts. For the defeat in the penalty shootout, the Kuban received one point.

In the final game of the Saratov voyage “Krasnodar-YUMR” met with the Moscow “Spartak”. The Red-Whites were fourth last season, and now they occupy an intermediate third place. The southerners lost – 2:4 (0:2, 1:0, 1:2). Losing with a score of 0 : 2, Krasnodar managed to equalize it thanks to the goals of the Brazilian legionnaires – Guguinho and Felipinho. But the opponent immediately took the lead, and at the end of the match strengthened the advantage.

In total, the Krasnodar team has four tournament points, and it takes eighth place among nine participants, ahead of only CSKA. Kristall is in the lead, having won all five matches.

Krasnodar-YUMR will play the next matches on June 16-17 in St. Petersburg against Strogino and Spartak.

— I can not say that this is a well-deserved result. We could score more points, but we have just started our way in the Super League,” said Maxim Marchenko, a Krasnodar-UMR player, in an interview with beachsoccer.ru. – At the moment we lack experience in playing at such a level, we played decently in every match, but at the end of each match we lacked strength, but we will train and work to show an even better game at the next stages.

On June 2, the Russian women’s beach handball championship began on the central beach in Anapa. Nine teams take part in the tournament, including two Kuban teams – the team of the Krasnodar Territory and the Kuban State University. According to the rules of the tournament, each participant plays with each one once.

In the opening match, the Kuban teams met each other, with a score of 2: 1 in sets, the players of the Kuban State University won. Nevertheless, players from the regional team took a higher place in the table, gaining ten points. They share the third – fifth place with Dynamo-Sinara from Volgograd and CSKA Moscow. KubSU has eight points and the sixth position. The Moscow Handball Academy is in the lead, having won all the matches (sixteen points). In second place are the current champions of the country from Stavropol: fourteen points.

The Russian Championship consists of four rounds, the winner and prize-winners will be determined by the sum of points scored. The next round will take place on July 14-16 in Stavropol. On the ninth of June, the men’s championship of Russia will also begin in Anapa.

The rugby-7 team of the Krasnodar Territory became the bronze medalist of the federal league among men’s teams – the second strongest division in the country. This was determined in Samara, where the fourth and final round of the competition ended. The Kuban team took third place both in this round and in the final standings.

On the first game day, the southerners won three victories, having beaten the Moscow Region SShOR in the IVS with a score of 22: 0, Rotor Volgograd – 36: 0, Universitet Chita – 29: 22. And once they lost to Narva Zastava from St. Petersburg – 21:24. Thanks to three victories, Anton Levchenko’s wards entered the top four teams in the preliminary stage.

On the second day in the semi-finals, the Kuban team met with the leader of the tournament, Baltic Storm from the Kaliningrad region. And they lost to the favorite with a score of 0 : 22. The westernmost participant became the best in the tournament, winning both the competition in Samara and the gold medals at the end of the season.

In the match for third place, the team of the Krasnodar Territory outplayed the hosts of the tournament – rugby players from the Samara Region – 24:14.

The club “Narvskaya Zastava” became the silver medalist of the competitions and the overall standings. In total, nine teams participated in the tour in Samara, in total there were fourteen teams in the season.

Recall that in May the federal league among women’s teams was won by the Argat team representing Ust-Labinsk.

The men’s team of the Krasnodar Territory was staffed by Bogatyri players. On June 9-12, this team will play the decisive games of the Major League in classic rugby. In the first game of the “Final Four” Kuban will meet with the hosts of the tournament – the team of St. Petersburg.
