Football agent appeared in court for threatening ex-Chelsea director Marina Granovskaya

Saif Ruby, a football agent, appeared before a London court on December 21 on charges of sending a threatening email to former Premier League club Chelsea director Marina Granovskaya.
Ruby emailed Granovskaya on May 22 with the intention of causing concern or alarm over the transfer of French defender Kurt Zouma from Chelsea to West Ham, according to Reuters.
It is also reported that the 44-year-old agent, who lives in west London, has not yet challenged any of the charges brought against him under the Malicious Communications Act at a brief hearing at Southwark Crown Court.
Ruby’s lawyer, Warwick Alison, said the case concerned a “virtually contractual dispute” between the agent and Granovskaya over “a payment for a player in excess of 30 million euros and a commission due to his client as an intermediary in the transaction being made.”
Following a brief hearing, the court ruled that Saif Alrubi, as his name appeared in the documents, be released on bail until the next court hearing, which will take place in April 2023. The amount of the bail is not specified.
