Folk signs on May 10: the sun’s ray of illness heals

In the folk calendar, May 10 is Semyon Ranopashets. In many regions, on this day, they began to plow the land, if the weather favored it.

The timing of the start of plowing was determined by folk signs. It was time to go to the field if the leaves had already blossomed on the trees, the larks had returned from the south, and the frogs were organizing “concerts” on the ponds.

It was a bad omen for those traveling into the field to meet a woman on the way. It was believed that then during the plowing, problems would definitely arise. Therefore, before leaving the yard, someone was sent to see if there were women on the road.

Still, according to popular belief, today the sun’s rays help to cure diseases. Therefore, sick people, at least for a short time, but went out into the street when the sun was shining there.

A good day for various good deeds, charity. Although, of course, helping people is not a sin any day, and goodness will definitely return to you.

But today you should not brag about your wealth – the risk of being robbed is high.

Also, according to popular beliefs, it is impossible to repair shoes or clothes on this day – this can bring bad luck, especially for those who are going on a trip.

Folk signs on May 10 are as follows:

– if the sky is clear at sunrise, the summer will be windy;

– if the clouds quickly float across the sky – to a protracted bad weather;

– if you hear the hooting of an owl – to a cold snap;

– if the grass is dry in the morning, rain is possible in the evening;

– if fog appeared in the lowlands in the evening – to warming.

Dreams that occurred on the night of May 11 come true on the third day or do not come true at all.
