In Chelyabinsk, the regional department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service will check the advertising of red fly agaric according to the statement of the “People’s Front”. The department intends to request information from the Ministry of Health of the region and the department of Rospotrebnadzor about the presence of medicinal properties in mushrooms, informs press service of the Chelyabinsk OFAS.

Advertising is placed on a car that drives around the city. It has inscriptions pasted on it: “Fly agaric”, “Amanita microdosing”, “Legal”, images of a mushroom and a phone number. Public activists in the appeal also pointed to the Mukhomorych website, where information about the health benefits of eating fly agaric is published.

The Antimonopoly Service examines the information received for signs of a violation of the law on advertising, one of the clauses of which does not allow the indication of the medicinal properties of the object of advertising, if it is not medicines, medical services, including methods of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and medical rehabilitation.

Previously, activists of the Popular Front of the Chelyabinsk region in their Telegram channel declaredthat they receive complaints from Chelyabinsk residents about a car with fly agaric advertising.

“We believe that such propaganda of muscimol is not the norm for our society. We sent appeals to the OFAS in order to give a legal assessment of the advertising of hallucinogenic drugs, as well as to the regional prosecutor’s office with a request to check this type of commercial activity for legality, ”wrote the public.
