Floorball has become the next sport that schoolchildren in the Tyumen region will be introduced to as part of the “Sports in Secondary Schools” project. The grand opening of the regional interdepartmental project “Floorball to School” took place in the gym of school No. 56 in Tyumen. Eight schools in Tyumen and seven schools in municipalities of the Tyumen region received certificates for equipment for practicing this sport.
Floorball is a type of hockey, but instead of ice there is parquet and a ball is used instead of a puck. A floorball lesson for third-graders was conducted by physical education teacher Valentina Radchenko. The schoolchildren performed a set of exercises using special equipment, became familiar with the rules of the game, and tried to put new techniques into practice.
Let us remind you that the project “Sports in secondary schools” gives children and adolescents the opportunity to study various sports in more depth within the walls of their home school.
