Five lions escape from enclosure at Sydney Zoo
[ad_1]
At the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, five lions climbed out of an enclosure. At this time, the zoo was closed, but some visitors spent the night on its territory.
As clarifies theage.com.au, the predators got out of the enclosure, but at the time of arrival at the scene, the zoo staff did not overcome the additional two-meter barrier. Visitors were transferred to safe areas.
The veterinarians used a tranquilizer against one of the lions, the rest returned to the enclosure on their own.
An investigation is underway, during which the lions will be in enclosures closed for inspection.
