Five faculties of Moscow State University will be transferred to distance learning due to measles infection at the history department

Faculty students in the Shuvalov building of Moscow State University will be transferred to distance learning, reports TASS with a link to the source.

In addition to the history department, the Shuvalov building houses the faculties of public administration, political science, philosophy, as well as the Higher School of Cultural Policy and Management in the Humanitarian Sphere.

“An epidemiological investigation was launched immediately, the circle of contact persons was determined, and comprehensive measures were taken to prevent the spread of the disease,” the Rospotrebnadzor department told RBC.

At the beginning of May, Moscow State University translated for distance learning of students of the faculties of computational mathematics and cybernetics, space research and teacher education. The press service of the university said that one case of measles was detected at Moscow State University.

In April, students from the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after M.V. I. M. Gubkin, as well as one of the buildings of the Russian Technological University.

As of May 3, the total number of cases since the beginning of the year in Russia has approached 1,000; cases of measles have been identified in 44 regions. Sanitary authorities insist that the outbreaks are local, the situation is under control. At the same time, in most regions, Kommersant was informed that cases of infection were imported from neighbors.
