First Vice Mayor Dmitry Anisimov became the head of Kemerovo

The first vice-mayor of Kemerovo Dmitry Anisimov was elected by the municipal deputies as the head of the city. Mr. Anisimov was nominated by United Russia. The last head of the city, Ilya Seredyuk, took the post of chairman of the government of Kuzbass at the end of September.
Mr. Anisimov was elected unanimously, the Kemerovo administration announced in Telegram. The meeting was attended by 35 deputies. According to the City Council website, it has 36 deputies in total. The City Council controls United Russia, which in the 2021 elections received about 73% of the votes.
39-year-old Dmitry Anisimov in 2011-2016 headed the municipal enterprise “City Department of Capital Construction”. Since April 2016, he has been the Deputy Mayor, since May 2018, the First Vice Mayor. After leaving the post of Mr. Serdyuk, he served as acting head of the city.
