First rocket launched from UK soil fails to reach orbit

The LauncherOne launch vehicle, launched from Cornwall Spaceport in the south-west of the UK, failed to reach orbit and launch the nine small satellites on board.
The UK has previously launched launch vehicles as part of its space program from Australia, with two out of four successful launches.
The rocket was launched with an aircraft, from which it separated an hour after launch. The first stage worked in normal mode, but when the second stage was started, a failure occurred.
The reasons why the rocket did not reach orbit are being investigated.
