The Governor of the Kaluga Region, Vladislav Shapsha, said that fireworks and mass events were canceled in the region for security reasons. They will not be held on May holidays, including Victory Day.
Shapsha stressed that now there are more risks and challenges than usual. He discussed the provision of security measures during the holidays with colleagues from the power structures of the head of the region.
These days, public order control will be additionally strengthened in the region.
In 2023, several subjects, including, in particular, the Kursk region, Sevastopol, where there is a high level of terrorist threat, announced the cancellation of the May 9 parades.
