A family recreation center with a water park and spa in Finland will go bankrupt. Once the insolvency filing is processed, it will operate as a hotel, the newspaper’s economic supplement reported. IltaSanomat.
According to the source, one of the reasons for filing for bankruptcy was the coronavirus pandemic. Also, another factor in the insolvency of the center was the conflict in Ukraine. Finland has restricted the entry of Russians, as a result of which attendance at the spa complex, which is located 50 km from the Russian border, has fallen.
At the moment, the center owes the bank 1.3 million euros. The representatives filed a bankruptcy petition with the district court of North Karelia. The document will only be valid for SPA. The other part of the complex, namely the hotel, cottages, restaurant, dance floor, shop and zoo, will operate as usual.
