Finnish Foreign Minister Haavisto named the conditions for holding Russian-Ukrainian talks

Negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv can begin only if Russia withdraws all its troops from the territory of Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Finland Pekka Haavisto.

“Any peace talks on Ukraine can take place only if Russia withdraws all troops from its territory,” the Finnish diplomat said.

It is worth noting that the Russian side repeatedly called on the Ukrainian side to negotiate, but Kyiv refused. At the end of September, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that it was impossible to negotiate with Russia while Vladimir Putin was its president.

At the same time, Zelensky himself recently named the conditions under which a conversation between Moscow and Kyiv is possible: the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, the punishment of “all war criminals”, payment for damage caused during the special operation, as well as guarantees that this will never happen again.
