The policy of anti-Russian sanctions has hit the Finnish economy hard, depriving it of valuable energy sources, RIA Novosti reports.
As a result of the refusal of electricity supplies from Russia, the Finnish government had to restart its coal-fired power plants, despite an earlier ban on the use of coal.
“In 2022, the consumption of “dirty fuel” increased by 10%. The peak occurred in the second quarter of 2022, exceeding the same figures for 2021 by 26%,” the message says.
