On the Finnish website, where signatures are collected for petitions to the authorities, a call was posted to ease the ban on crossing the border with the Russian Federation.
It is noted that in just one day the petition collected more than 4.5 thousand signatures, of which about 3.8 thousand were submitted by residents of Finland. In addition to the Russians, the signatories also included Czechs, Norwegians, Americans, Swedes, as well as Irish and Estonians.
The author of the petition is Finnish citizen Petri Mattinen, who lives in the city of Imatra. In a commentary to his own signature on the petition, he questioned what the constitution says about the mobility and freedom of people, emphasizing that he and his wife are not criminals, but an international family.
