And he assures that the created programs are worth waiting for everyone.

The current American history of the duet Diana Davis – Gleb Smolkin continues to be a mystery. (I must say that it’s already quite nasty, even if you treat the duet extremely loyally and don’t wallow in the mud just for family ties in the world of figure skating.) They were on the list of participants in the Moscow stage of the Russian Grand Prix, which will be held from November 11 to 13 . Declared for participation in Perm, this stage will take place from 25 to 27 November.

Unless they suddenly fly to Samara, he is following Moscow, then they will no longer perform in the Grand Prix finals even if they go out on the ice in Perm. (Although the feeling is this: if “suddenly” they go on the ice in Perm.) To participate in the final, you need the results of two stages.

About a possible Perm TASS said the president of the Russian Figure Skating Federation Alexander Gorshkov. “Athletes will not be able to take part in the Moscow stage, but they still hope to perform in Perm.”

What happens in the life of dancers, no one knows. No, of course, Eteri Tutberidze knows for sure, but the coach is famous for her ability to keep words until the moment she needs. Such a moment, apparently, has not come, and not a kindergarten, after all. And the athletes themselves have not yet responded to Gorshkov’s message. Let’s chalk it up to the time difference between Russia and the US, what else?

We can complain many times: you can’t spoil your own reputation by pretending that no one will notice anything. Or they won’t understand. Or – even simpler: and so it will do. We can explain: the birth of rumors is the work of the heroes themselves and laconic leaders. But even approved moral codes somehow cannot break through this wall.

Yes, Diana and Gleb, like any members of the team, are not forced people. Yes, they themselves have the right to decide: where and when to speak, given the circumstances. Yes, and flights today – not the easiest thing. But those people who really need to fly fly. So, not much is needed.

It can be easily stated that this is not a question. But on the other hand, the same question remains: why not say how others do? Like, we skip the season (part of the season), this is how life develops. And then – explanations to choose from: we want to recover, find ourselves, find a common language with new coaches, difficulties with flights … Most of the audience will still not believe (and there are already quite serious reasons for this, these are common truths: trust in words is lost when words do not confirm with actions), but the situation will not look completely indecent.

For now, it already looks like it. They don’t speak. And we are again like parrots on different sites: Diana has a US passport, she was born in the country. And this is already enough for the duo to perform at tournaments. But marriage to her is an opportunity to obtain citizenship for Gleb. And citizenship will allow you to represent the country at the Olympic Games. The marriage already exists. And a green card, for which you need to follow a number of rules, including staying in the country, apparently does not exist yet.

No one in Russia has seen the performance of the duet this season, and we do not take into account the performance of the duet in June for evaluation by American experts. After another round of bad discussions of that rental, Diana and Gleb replied: “We are athletes of the Russian national team and are looking forward to starting the new season at test skates.”

And yet, Davis and Smolkin were not present at the control performances, the explanation was extremely strange: “We couldn’t get Gleb the documents that allow him to legally leave the country.” Diana wrote this for some reason.

Now here they are at the declared stage in Moscow – they definitely won’t perform. We continue to wait. Interesting to see progress. Or vice versa. There was a lot of attention to Diana and Gleb last year, both on business and without it. A duet with its own charm, the dancers have something to prove.

In the meantime, Vasilisa Kaganovskaya and Valery Angelopol, who have already made some noise in Moscow, are joining the Moscow stage (apparently, just instead of Davis and Smolkin), joining Sofya Tyutyunina and Andrei Bagin, Irina Khavronina and Dario Chirizano.

Men will perform Mikhail Kolyada, Makar Ignatov, Evgeny Semenenko, Petr Gumennik. In pairs, Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov will appear on the Moscow ice – and in this form, unlike the previous stages, five participants will perform. Women’s singles waited for the stages of the Grand Prix of Elizaveta Tuktamysheva to enter the ice. Sophia Akatieva and Sofya Muravieva are also nominated, as is Anastasia Zinina.
