Figure skater Kostornaya allowed a change of sports citizenship: “there are many options”

Figure skater Alena Kostornaya, European champion 2020, said that she does not exclude the possibility of changing her sports citizenship, but is not yet ready to disclose all the details.
She says she has many options, but she doesn’t know what the future will bring. Kostornaya made these statements during a conversation with reporters after the free program at the Russian Grand Prix stage in Omsk, where she performed in pairs with Georgy Kunitsa.
Together, Kostornaya and Kunitsa presented a free program, for which they received 124.71 points. Their total score for both performances was 192.77 points, placing the pair in 4th place.
Previously, Kostornaya decided to continue her career in pair skating, choosing Georgy Kunitsa as a partner. Later they got married. Since the beginning of this year, the athlete has moved to coach Elena Buyanova, who works for Eteri Tutberidze. Before this, Kostornayak underwent hip surgery.
