The athlete recently returned from a trip to Asia

Last weekend, the final episode of the Ice Age project was shown on the air.

It became known that the first place in the show was taken by actress Elizaveta Arzamasova and figure skater Nikita Katsalapov. Until the very end, Arzamasova and Katsalapov competed with a couple: Marat Basharov-Oksana Domnina, but still snatched victory from them, performing their best number for the season.

The winner of the show, skater Katsalapov, was on vacation at the time the program was shown and could not quickly respond to what had happened. But, finally, the winner got in touch and shared his impressions of the victory with MK.

“When the finale of Ice Age was shown on TV, I was still on vacation and about to fly home from a trip to Asia. It was not always possible to be in touch. Only today I was finally able to read all the messages, comments, kind words that the fans of our couple with Lisa wrote and continue to write to me, – Katsalapov told Moskovsky Komsomolets. – I am incredibly grateful to these people for their support, and to the project – for the unique experience that I got. I remember how Alexander Zhulin told me about the “Ice Age” while preparing for the next championship. He said that in this show, athletes get such freedom, which cannot be in professional competitions. And he was right. The project minimally limited us both from an acting and technical point of view. Liza and I tried on different images, experimented a lot: I taught her the elements on the ice, and she taught me how to express emotions without words. It was amazing! In addition, we became friends with many members, talked a lot, laughed together. Of course, there were also elements of rivalry. For example, Lisa and I noticed that couples spy on each other in training, compare their elements with others. But it only turned us on, caused a healthy sports excitement.
