Figure skater Drobyazko was deprived of Lithuanian citizenship

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda signed a decree according to which figure skater Margarita Drobiazko was deprived of Lithuanian citizenship. This was reported by the BNS agency with reference to the head of state’s public relations representative Rydas Jasyulenis.
It is known that Drobyazko was born in Moscow in 1971. In 1993, she acquired Lithuanian citizenship as an exception, for services to Lithuanian sports and popularization of the state. Drobyazko and her husband repeatedly represented Lithuania at international competitions and also became champions of Lithuania.
