Fighting competitors instead of sanctions // The Ministry of Finance recognized the anti-market nature of purchases from a single supplier

After the return of transparency in sanctioned purchases of state-owned companies for the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Treasury, the departments became concerned about the increase in non-competitive government purchases. Their jump is the result of the sanctioning powers of customers to enter into contracts with single suppliers. Such contracts, as the Treasury analysis showed, often turn out to be unrelated to sanctions, cost the budget more and take longer to execute. The financial bloc proposes not to extend the relaxation until 2024; the Ministry of Industry and Trade wants to link such standards with additional control. However, threats of inspections of non-competitive procurement by law enforcement agencies had no effect on customers.
