Iraqi TV channel Rudaw reported that fighting broke out in the north of the country between the Iraqi Army and Kurdish Peshmerga forces.
The report said the fire was opened in the town of Makhmour due to disputes over the ownership of three military posts after the Kurdistan Workers’ Party withdrew its forces from the region.
The TV channel reported one killed Kurdish fighter.
At the same time, according to other sources, government forces killed three people and wounded seven, and Peshmerga militias captured two positions. Ambulances and government reinforcements are on their way to Makhmur district.
