Fighters of PMC “Wagner” may be involved in the training of the Belarusian special forces

Representatives of PMC “Wagner” can be involved in the training of special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Commander of the Internal Troops of Belarus Nikolai Karpenkov.

“Today we are negotiating with representatives of the Wagner PMC, who, together with us, will be engaged in combat training and share their invaluable combat experience,” he said (cit. according to BelTA).

July 11 Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported about the intention to exchange experience with the divisions of PMC “Wagner” after their arrival in the republic. “Particular attention is planned to be paid to the techniques and methods of conducting combat operations by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus,” the ministry said.

On June 27, Lukashenko said that Yevgeny Prigozhin had arrived in Belarus. Then the President explained, in which he sees the benefit of the deployment of PMC “Wagner” in the country. “They will tell you about weapons: which worked well, which did not. And tactics, and weapons, and how to attack, how to defend. It’s priceless. This is what we need to take from the Wagnerites,” Lukashenka clarified.

On the night of June 24, PMC Wagner, led by Yevgeny Prigozhin, attempted an armed rebellion in Russia. As the founder of the PMC previously stated, the fighters had 200 km to go to Moscow. After negotiations with the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Prigozhin decided to stop the movement to the capital and return to the rear camps of PMCs. The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, specified that the criminal case initiated against Prigozhin would be terminated, and he himself “would go to Belarus.”
