Mattia Binotto, head of the Ferrari Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 racing team, will retire on December 31, 2022. This was reported by news agencies with reference to the company’s statement.

“I have decided to end my partnership with Ferrari,” Mattia Binotto was quoted as saying by the company’s press service (quoted by Reuters).

Mattia Binotto is 53 years old. He has been with Scuderia Ferrari since 2004. In 2007, Binotto became the chief engineer of the team, in 2016 – its technical director. In 2019, he headed the Scuderia Ferrari.

Scuderia Ferrari is the oldest and most successful Formula 1 team. She has been participating in races since 1950 and has repeatedly won prizes in them.

In November, the Italian La Gazzetta dello Sport wrote that in January 2023, the head of the Alfa Romeo Racing team, Frederic Vasseur, will become the head of the Scuderia Ferrari. Then the press service of the team denied this information.
