Femke Bol set the indoor 400m record for the second time this season

Femke Bol from the Netherlands set a new world record in the indoor 400m. The previous two records also belong to her.
The Dutch athlete was the first to run 400 m at the World Championships in Glasgow. Her result is 49.17 seconds. The Netherlands’ Lieke Klaver (50.16) won silver, and the American Alexis Holmes (50.24) won bronze.
Femke Bol broke the indoor 400m record in February 2023, which was the longest in athletics (49.26). In February 2024, she improved her result at the Dutch Championships (49.24).
Femka Bol is 23 years old. Bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics in the 400m hurdles. She now has three gold and four silver medals at the World Championship (one gold and two silver indoors), seven gold medals at the European Championship (four indoors).
