The curling championship of the Far Eastern Federal District will be held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The island region will host inter-regional starts in this sport for the first time. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region.
About 40 athletes aged 10 to 19 representing the Khabarovsk and Primorsky Territories, as well as the Sakhalin Region, will compete for competition awards on the ice rink of the Vostok training center.
The strongest curlers under the age of 16 will compete for tickets to participate in the II Winter International Sports Games “Children of Asia”, which will be held from February 23 to March 5 in Kuzbass.
The opening of the championship will take place on February 8 at 9:00. Group stage games will last until the 10th. Finals will be held February 11th.
